Turbos and Superchargers can be simply explained as a device that is pumping pressurised air into the engine. This way we are able to get more air in to the engine than normally when the engine has to suck his air in. Because of this extra air, we can burn more fuel which causes a bigger explosion resulting in more power and torque.
By compressing air it is also heated and hot air contains less oxygen. So in some cases an intercooler is installed between the Turbo or Supercharger and the engine. This cools down the air before it enters the engine and since cool air contains more oxygen this results in even more power and torque. Another advantage is that it keeps the engine cooler overall which is better for some engines.

The development of a Turbo or Supercharger systems starts at Mosselman by questioning what suits the engine best, and what the customer would like. Then we make the decision to work with the latest spec Turbo or Supercharger and start the development of the system in a 3D computer program. In the next step a prototype is build which has to undergo some intensive testing in our state of the art AWD Superflow 880E dyno test cell, while developing and fine tuning the necessary software changes.
So if you order one of our systems you can be sure your product is developed by experienced professionals and tested intensively to get the best possible reliable power increase for your specific engine. And on top of that we put all our systems together with the latest technologies and materials which results in a great product with similar appearance.
Starting experiments in the early seventy’s Mosselman was one of the first to develop aftermarket Turbo and Supercharger kits. At this moment the company was located in the US and gathered the necessary information for the future. Later in the end of the seventy’s the company moved to the Netherlands, resulting in a successful period of producing Turbo and Supercharger systems for the high end market like BMW and Mercedes.
At that time in the end of the seventy’s the Turbo was starting to be popular, and the car manufacturers introduced a few models with Turbo as well. Since Mosselman was already experienced with Turbo Engines, and had great contact with manufacturers like Garrett, they were asked to develop systems for car manufacturers and some college Tuners like Lorinser and Brabus.
